What not to do

A few things to avoid early on.

If you’re just starting out, DON'T:
• Rush into situations you’re unsure about
• Skip important conversations
• Assume everything will “just work itself out”
• Compare your journey/experience to someone else’s

The metaphor "this is a marathon - not a sprint" is very applicable here. If we've learned anything it's that the lifestyle never gets boring unless you let it. Your pace may vary, but listen to your instincts, communicate, and don't rush. Otherwise you might burn out before some of the fun even begins.
